Good Comedy
This is my first Will Hay film and I enjoyed it very much. Many non-Brits will have a hard time following the witty, but accented, dialogue - it is not heavily accented, but it is presented quickly. Beyond that, the characters are all well-drawn British, Irish, Scottish types and are great fun. Will Hay (William Porter), Moore Marriott (Jeremiah Harbottle) and Graham Moffatt (Albert) work brilliantly together and all the other actors are equally wonderful. Some reviewers consider this to be the greatest or one of the greatest British comedies ever made - I haven't seen enough of them to be able to comment on or dispute that - nevertheless, I can't get beyond four stars at this time. But, I heartily recommend this to anyone who loves comedy.

Great Movie!!
The trio are funnier than ever in this one! The climactic act is a great bit of railroading - every train fan will enjoy it.
By the way, did anyone else notice Will Hay mouthing the other actor's lines at 14:50. I suppose that's one reason he was so quick and witty - because he recited the entire dialogue, aloud or to himself, depending on whether or not it was his line.

Wonderful
One of Britains finest unsung comedy actors. Will Hay along with his two regular partners, Moore Marriot and Graham Moffit run riot through every film they made together. You should check out more of these hilarious films. A little gem but rates at five star.

wow-sidespkittingly funny
lmao -:) I can not get over just how funny this was. The end part has got to be seen to be believed! If you like 3 Stooges and Laurel and Hardy its a must see. I'm a Family Guy(etc.) fan too and this had me rolling on the floor especially during the windmill scene-Never saw anything quite like that before!I searched for Will Hay at IMDb(the search here doesn't work well for me lately) and came up with 7 more PD movies linked to internet archive and I will be checkin' all of 'em out ASAP!

A Gem of a Movie!!
One of the great things about this site is discovering movies/people you never heard of. This movie is wonderful! It is remarkable that this was made in 1937...it has such a modern feel to it. Very funny and the stunts and camera shots were great. I can see where Monty Python got their inspiration! Very snappy dialogue. Highly recommended!!

I love watching Will Hay
Everything I've seen of his makes me laugh and this is no exception. Will Hay was fantastic and it really makes me wonder why he was so largely ignored in the US. I had never heard of him till I came to this site and nobody I've talked so since has either.
What a British treasure!
